WINTER WONDERLAND

FALL IS HERE!

My beautiful cousin Qwuinn...I just love watching my family grow up and capturing them is so much fun. They all have such different and unique personalities. We are starting a portfolio for her so this will be one of the many sessions I am going to have of her. This is her grown-up "downtown session. We took many images but here are a few of my favorites.

Princess

It does not come very often, but once in a blue moon there comes a time when I am out shooting a session and you realize how beautiful the lighting is and how it blends so well with the coloring in the attire of the client and the compositions you place them in are perfect. This was probably one of those sessions. I just love so many images I captured from this session (and there were a ton...like 200 total). This is my (future) step daughter Makayla. I capture her quite often but this session has been my favorite so far. I have already planned out which ones I am having printed and am placing some of these in white frames for her room. Here are just a few ;)

It always warms my heart when I capture someone who means the world to me. These two kids are so important in my life. They are my brother and sister. I realized lately that I have not captured them in over a year (which is weird in and of itself). They came and stayed the night with me last weekend. We swam and played all day but somehow we found the energy to take a few outside when we got home. Here is their session. Thanks for looking!

Wow, is this girl a model? She can go for hours without getting annoyed or tired and she is only 4! She kept posing for me making my job very easy ;) This may be because she is my future "step daughter" Makayla. She gets to be my guinnea pig quite often. I had the day off of work today and since it was cloudy and rainy out we decided to just go out and play in it! We had a good bonding day and I got a few captured before we had to come in. Here is her mini
sneek peek:

{Little Miss K}

I have got to say, I am so happy (and a little emotional) editing my wonderful session I had with little Kaitlyn today. It has been almost 2 years since I captured her and her brother Jacob and thanks to their Mom Allison I have had numerous referrals over the past couple of years. Once I posted the little girl promotion they took advantage and I am SO glad they did. I am really happy with the way they turned out. Here are a few from their session. Would LOVE some feedback from the fans! Thank you again Allison, I appreciate you and your Mom (Nana) for all the help with my props ;)

Today was such a beautiful day! I had this feeling of just wanting to get outdoors and feel the wind on my face.  My little sister decided to hand down her "pink" cowgirl boots to Makayla and boy was she excited! She did not take them off the entire day. I thought she was going to sleep in them! LOL....Even though her hair was a mess, she threw her new sundress on with those boots and I had to grab my camera. I did not realize how pretty these would turn out. I will definitely be getting these framed for her room! Here is the sneek peek :)

Baby Atherton is 9 months already!
I have had the pleasure to capture baby Atherton since he was still in the womb. It was a very hot humid day, so we found some shade and snapped away. Look at this little cutie!

A fun day at the beach!

Girls day on the farm!

What cute little boys! I had a nice mini session with my hairstylist, Beth's baby boy Julian and his 2 cousins that are from out of town. Two of the babies had a fever so they were not necessarily in the mood for pictures, but looking back at my photos I captured I am quite happy. We found out what works to get these cute images; just let them play and watch their movements. Here is their sneek peek:

Spring is here (I hope)! Since I knew I was going to have my siblings over last night I planned a fun night of painting Spring pots! We painted our ceramic pots and planted flowers for Spring. They turned out so cute and the kids had a blast with it! These may not be considered 'professional' for the web but I had to share a few.

In the midst of all this, my little sister Delaney found my prom dress in the closet. She begged me to get some images of her in it, so while the boys played video games, Delaney and I played dress up! Here are a few cute ones!

Look at these two little ones! They walked up to my door at the arrival of their session and I was instantly excited! They were so beautiful and had such cute personalities! Taylor was very percocious, always interested in anything and everything (including my cat who ended up giving her a nice scratch). We just had a mini Easter session, but I ended up with more cute images than I thought. Thank you to their awesome Momma Nicole!

One quick shot of her brother who was very patient with her session!

Going to get the Christmas tree was such a great childhood memory! Since my husband and I still feel like kids near Christmas, we take my siblings to cut down the tree every year. This year was our fourth year going to Runyens and it was the best year yet! My brother is now 3 and was more involved with his sister. When we got home we decorated the tree and the house. We also fit in Christmas cookies before they passed out in front of the tv! Here are a few I captured of them picking out their tree! Happy Holidays to all my clients!
